Years ago, my Husband was at a restaurant going out of business sale. My Husband bought 30 margarita glasses. I thought he was crazy. I am so glad he bought them now. This is going to be the best party ever.

We bought our tiki bar last year at Target. It's all made of bamboo, so it's a very durable bar.

Our Party City has lots of great decorations. We bought some strings of multicolored margarita glasses lights, "Party in Paradise" plates, appetizer plates and napkins, funky sunglasses that look like pineapples. They had loads of fun things.

I just got mine today and the kids wanted kid friendly drinks right away. They are telling all their little friends about it at elementary school:) Well I made them a great recipe, OJ, orange sherbert, strawberries, pinapple, mango, 7 up. Blended up with lots of shaved ice it made a great kiddie drink. After we poured theirs hubby and I filled half glasses of kiddie drinks and filled to the top with champaign for us. It was fruity and light. Next batch is margaritas with mango margarita tequila, after the kids are in bed.

My girlfriend sent me this link to some amazing recipes. I did a search for Margarita and it pulled up things like: Margarita cookies (which are also Vegan), Frozen Margaritas, A classic Margarita recipe with the history of tequila, Margarita Ice Cream, smoky grilled grapefruit margaritas, Margarita glazed Madeleines, Margarita Cake and Margarita fish tacos! AND MORE. I thought I'd share it with you because I'm having so much fun planning my menu: Visit TasteSpotting

Walgreens in Chicago has melamine plastic plates and serveware with hibscus print and also some with plam trees for $1 each! I just got a bunch and even a palm tree chip and drip tray! Check it out to add to your festive theme. Also, I got colorful reusable plastic margarita glasses, hibscus headbands, plastic hawaiian shirt plates and more at orientaltrading.com - FYI they do ship pretty fast, too!

Hey All, has anyone started to think about how much ice you will need for your party??? I am just wondering if anyone has seen a good way to guess-timate how many bags to buy so you do not run out. A margaritta party with no ice could be NO FUN. . . What do you think?

For the invites that I didn't send through email, Margaritaville.com has round drink coasters that I turned into invites. http://store.margaritavilleneworleans.com/browse.cfm/4,274.html I took 2 of them and used a hole punch and tied them together with raffia to make them open like a card, and attached a sand dollar to each one that I got at Garden ridge. On the inside, I put paper circles with the invite details and directions to my home. The invites were a huge hit!!!

I cannot wait! Just out of curiosity...does anyone have any non-alcoholic recipes as well? I am planning to make traditional margaritas for most of my guests. But there will be some little kids there who might like the non-alcoholic versions of the drinks. Will the party pack come with some recipe ideas? This is going to be great!
