Good Food, Good Times, Good Memories!
Looking back, I amaze myself that I pulled off a traditional 7 course Italian dinner. Before this Johnsonville House Party opportunity I don't think I would've tried it. So happy it was a success!
My theme was Girl's Night In for all my gal pals with dinner, wine, Pictonary or watching Mamma Mia.
I can now see while the Italian's are happy people. We ate and talked and laughed for hours. We started with a platter or various cheeses, proscuitto, & seasoned olives served with wine, of course. This was followed by an Italian caprese salad. Next was homemade focaccia bread with seasoned oil dip. I was excited to present my favorite Italian Sausage soup. Although I didn't think there would be much room, the main course was Mostaccioli Bake. After much more conversation we were ready to have a fruit salad to prepare us for the tiramisu. I'm not a huge fan but it was loved by most.
Knowing there would be so much food, I made my normal portions and had take home bowls ready to fill and send home with all my guests.
It was amazing! My only flaw was that I was so busy with each different course that I forgot to take any pictures! I can't believe it!!!
On the bright side, I have more sausage left over from my party package & plan on hosting an Easter cookout with it. So two parties in one woo hoo! This will be for the whole family and the kids will be hunting eggs. The camera is never far with the kids around so I should remember this time. Sorry that I messed up. I'll do better in a couple of weeks!
