I think a holiday theme (winter) in general would work out awesome, as it's going to be that gift-giving season! Thanks for the ideas -- and that one about soliciting businesses for goodies is pretty interesting, too, but I think that might take the emphasis away from Scholastic...??

Oh, I hope I found the message that I was a finalist in time! I always am afraid that I'll send out my invites and then not make it within the first 1,000 folks - eeks!!

This is going to be a blast! I'm not sure about a theme though - I'll have to think about it. A great game idea would be where everyone has a book or cartoon character's (since Scholastic has quite a few cartoon character books) name written on a piece of paper pinned or taped to their back. Then they try to guess who it is by asking everyone questions. Or even a Pictionary game of book titles or characters. Hmm, there are so many games out there that can be tweeked to this party.

I think I may go with a thanksgiving theme, but I have not quite yet decided. This seems like it's gonna be a lot of fun I can't wait.
