Lynn An update by the jinxed by LSU & Saints Football game 1st time "party hostess"... I did go the Shutterfly Secret Santa route in which I brought the party to the people. I made goody bags by using Christmas bags (red or green bags that looked like an old fashioned grocery bag). Inside each bag, I placed the Shutterfly brochure that had the free promo codes on the bag. Inside each brochure, I tucked in a pack of Decoders & a $10 plumdistrict gift card which were both included in my party package. I made Peppermint Cake Balls (white cake & limited edition holiday Peppermint-flavored icing for the inside, dipped in melted vanilla-flavored candy wafers. once hardened, decorated by piping a simple zig-zag Christmas tree design. put each one in a mini baking cup that were green with candy canes & peppermints printed on them.) I made sure I put enough cake balls in each goody bag to ensure there were enough for each family member of the recipient. I brought my sample cards & catalog with me when I delievered to show. I got really good feedback on the sample cards: the quality, the variety, the styles. I'm not sure if I got the recipients to do the post-party survey. I did have one person decline the cake balls because she didn't like peppermint, and another person decline the goody bag because she said she just wasn't computer savvy & really only took pictures of her grandbaby with her phone. I appreciated their honesty. So while it wasn't the grand party I originally envisioned, I managed to pull it off! I so love Shutterfly in general that I just wouldn't give up on getting the material out. I actually enjoyed delivering the goody bags because it gave me an opportunity to sit down & have a one-on-one discussion. One funny thing, I had a real hard time convincing one person that I wasn't selling anything & that they were really free with no strings attached. It was crazy funny! So when all else fails, if you can't get people to the party, bring the party to the people!

Michelle . Everyone had a blast at my Shutterfly Party. I asked my guest to bring their laptops to the party. We picked out which pictures we wanted to use for our Holiday cards. We had fun designing our cards too. There were so many to choose from, it was hard to just pick one! Everyone brought a dish of food to share. I had door prizes to give to my guests. They loves the address labels I made from Shutterfly!
