We have been loyal customers of Sears for many years. The last appliances that we purchased were Kenmore. The last TV and our riding lawn mower were purchased from Sears. My husband has purchased many Craftsmen power tools from Sears. We purchased three room air conditioners from Sears. I could go on and on. I was so excited when I was accepted to be a host for this party. We have been wanting to makeover our kitchen, but with two sons in college we are on a very tight budget. However, this seemed like Sears was encouraging this to be a do-it-yourself tyoe of party. Thus, I thought there would be some great coupons for do-it-yourself type of items like paint and supplies. I thought that we might be able to purchase one new appliance if Sears was offering a great discount for the hosts. The 20% off the regular price is not what I consider a great discount. All of the above purchases that I listed above were purchased on sale for at least a 20% discount! Many were purchased at even a greater discount! Plus, for many of the purchases we were also offered other incentives. Like for purchasing the TV we were given a FREE DVD player. Plus, for many of the purchases we were given a booklet of coupons to use at Sears that were MUCH better than the ones we were given in our party package. For one thing the coupons did not have a restriction that you could not use them in addition to the sales price. They were more like - purchase $50 of --- get $10 off. Plus, one year Sears also sent us a $50 Sears gift card for purchasing so much at Sears that year. So, I just KNEW that the party package would be SUPER! I knew that Sears always had great rewards and incentives! Was I ever WRONG! For one thing, they did not even send what they promised that would be in the package - no tape measure or painter caps! What great advertising this would have been for Sears! And then the loose paper goods?!!! I'll have to buy my own to use. The information cards, etc. are informative. However, in my opinion it is all geared to a high end type of makeover, not a makeover for a do-it-yourself makeover. And how about some coupons for the guests in their planning books to encourage them to do their own makeover? I expected much more from Sears and Kenmore. I was still try to do some kind of makeover party, but I really am puzzled about what we will be able to afford to do.

I got my package, and I am quite disappointed. I had promised my family and friends what was on the original list. I had even told friends about it on a site. I can't serve food on plates that have an inkjet printed look. That some of them have smudges because the ink wasn't dry. Not only that they were not sealed! I only got the plates and, the pads of paper, and a black box full of cards. Which is nice but we already did the design part. This was the doing the literal kitchen makeover that day. Other than the cups everything was no different than the download. I am changing my date till May so I have more time to get supplies and such. Like the painters cap, tape measures, cups, plates (we can use)...

I have to say I agree with everyone here. The whole loose cup plate thing is gross. Also the coupons and no painters cap/tape measure was a disapointment. I dont thing I will be doing much of a makeover now besides new paint color. Its such a disapointment this was my first party and I heard last years kenmore party rocked!

I'm so excited...I received my package today. I am disappointed that I will not be able to use the plates, cups and napkins they were not wrapped and that is gross. I can't wait for the party so my friends and family can help with my kitchen makeover. There were alot of great tips in the package. It will be an awesome party.

I too am going to replace the napkins, plates, and cups. I will also be buying new folders for the pads. Most of the clear folders are ripped down the side and the first ten or so pages bent up on the corners. I am going to buy more supplies for the goody bags also. My guests are used to going home with great goody bags, not just okay bags. To sum it up, I appreciate what we received, I am just dissapointed that we didn't get everything that was listed.

I was so looking forward to hosting this party. I am still going to host my party, but I don't honestly think I will be looking forward to it as much. The plates are just nasty, I haven't even had a chance to look in the cups yet. I wouldn't buy open plates in the store let alone eat off plates that I have no idea who's touched them or where they have been. Not to mention, there is cardboard dust all over everything.

Right now Sears.com has a 20% off sale going on so the coupons are useless. It doesn't make sense. Kenmore did such a great job last year when I hosted the other party. We got all sorts of Spray n Wash products and my guests were very excited to receive those. Nothing Kenmore gave me would entice a guest to come. We were actually looking forward to the painters caps and tape measure.

Remember, we are doing this to spread the Kenmore name... to promote their products. They are getting almost free advertising for nothing so you'd think they'd compensate their hosts a little better. I guess all we are entitled to is 50% off a single paintbrush (courtesy of Sears). I am one that typically spends a lot of money on House Parties, so in my opinion, this is totally not worth it. Really we aren't entitled to anything, but we do a lot of work for the parties and usually it's quite fair.

The package is good enough for me too look through and get ideas, and I will do that, but I can't honestly have a party based on this. What do I have to promote? Some brochures I could have picked up at Sears myself? I have hosted 11 house parties, and this is by far the worst package I have ever seen.

We will still have fun regardless, it is MY party and that's all that matters.

So sooooo upset with this, The cups are pretty beat up, Napkins and paper plates are dirty. No bracelet, caps, NOTHING. Just folders with info in them. Also I got 2 recipe cards of the same thing......NOT EVEN 10 to share. This is the worst HP package EVER! I promised things to the guests and now I have to go buy the painter caps. Also all the folders but 2 are ripped all the way down the side. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR I'm so dang mad!

My package just came and I can't wait to watch the DVD. Hoping to get lots of great ideas from it. I won't be using the plates, cups, and napkins though; they're pretty yucky-looking. The graph pads are a good idea for a handout. I found a green bracelet in my package. I figure it fell in from another marketing campaign. Anybody else get one?

The party package is really a disappointment. The loose plates, cups and napkins are literally dirty with smudges. No painter's caps nor tape measure as was promised in the original description. A coupon that doesn't apply to sale items - I can buy Kenmore appliances cheaper on sale (30% off) than with the coupons. The idea folders are nice but not, in my opinion, much of a party gift for my guests. We'll still have fun but I'm going to buy some gifts for my guests since Kenmore didn't provide any. They always get excited to come to my House Parties because up until now there have always been great gifts and/or prizes at them along with great food and fun. I am very disappointed with this host package.

I promised painter caps to my guests. I suppose that I will find a hardware store that sells them, so I can include them with my party.

If kenmore can't live up to what was originally promised in the party package, it would have been best to just cancel the party, this really looks bad on kenmore! Especially the condition of the party pack, don't get me wrong, it is appreciated, but not what was promised, when planning these parties, keep in mind that your party hosts actually tell people what you tell them! I promised certain things and now I can't deliever?!?! Sears and Kenmore makes enough to do this right! It should have been done right!

I am quite disapointed with the kit. I figured since we were promoting Kenmore we would get more of a discount and incentives. No tape measure, no caps and coupons are 20% regular items. Not exactly an incentive to promote the products to everyone I know. Plates, napkins and cups are not even in plastic and is nasty. I plan on hosting the party however dont know many people I will get here simply to see how I re-designed my kitchen without a reason for them to come. I know if I was going to a "kitchen" party, if I got something I would go. However, to simply see someone else's kitchen and to recieve a pack of paper seems disapointing. :-(
