Expert Tip #5—KITCHEN FLOORING
Important factors to consider when selecting kitchen flooring:
♦Cleanability—for easy care, choose vinyl, laminate or ceramic tile
♦Durability—ceramic, stone, laminate and concrete stand up best to kids and pets
♦Longevity—stone and ceramic tile, hardwood, cork and concrete stand the test of time
♦Moisture Resistance—tile, vinyl and certain laminates (check manufacturers’ warranties) are more water-resistant
♦Allergens—hard flooring, such as ceramic or wood, have fewer crevices to harbor dust mites and allergens

I have wood flooring that has not held up well over time. I am planning on replacing it with tile. I have still not decided how I am going to do this and what I will use exactly.
