I love to throw parties, and it's been a while since I've thrown a grown-ups only party. I also love margaritas! So I'm looking forward to getting a bunch of friends together for drinks, food, laughs, and hopefully a bit a dancing.
I hope all that was chosen has a great time with their parties! My son was heartbroke to not be chosen since Margaritaville in Key West was his choice for a make a wish vacation he went on. Then sad to see some people see a need to sign up and get 2 of these instead of sharing around with others. :(
and on a lighter note... party planned trackside! working on favors, getting glassware... I can't wait and so many of my friends want personal demo's!! hehe, I tell htem to show up for the party.
ok, so I live in rural (very) colorado, no pool, no hot tub, not a ton of money.. i have drooled over this machine for 2 years and just couldn't justify the price... so it totally BUMS me out that people are whining and crying about not getting it cause they aren't rich and stuff! there were over 13000 applicants!!! and only 1000 parties.. get a grip! yeah if I didn't get it, I would have been sad, but not so much that I would be on here bitching and whining.. have a party, have fun, isn't that what this is all about?? I couldn't afford to do it on my own, with the maker and stuff. but I do own a blender and can make some mean margaritas with it.. Margaritaville..it's a state of mind.... breathe in , breathe out, move on!!
My party starts @ noon on Friday the 23rd and we have events planned all weekend.This is going to be the best House Party yet.I have gotten the decorations and the menu planned.I am so excited.Just for the record I DON"T have a pool.

This Party will be the talk of our small town, we already have 14 coming and more to let us know.. we are having dancing, karaoke, till dawn or the next day,, whooooooooo hooooooooo.. this is going to be great and cant wait to try it out first.. yummmy... ty soooo much for the opportunity

Moverandshaker.. and dandaracing.. I wasn't selected to host this party, and you two have very good advice for those that were not selected. I am still going to have a Margaritaville Cargo party by using houseparty.com. I am very happy for those that get the awesome concotion maker!! I have a Margaritaville Cargo cooler and I just love it, so I am sure that you will really love your new concotion maker. Congrats!!! and enjoy!!!!
Can't wait to try on the 'concoction maker', and I think that some of the party favor things are pretty cute/interesting to. I love the ocean/beach, so this party is just the thing to kick off mine and my friends'/families' summer!
thecole6 I wanted to let you know that I am not rich, don't have a pool or a backyard BBQ and could not have gotten the maker without this party.. Sorry you weren't picked, but I have missed some of the parties I really wanted also. Please don't bring the rest of us down just because you didn't get picked. I'm sorry you didn't get picked. I will still have a great party and you can too.

I haven't been picked for some of the parties that I wanted to have also.. but the great thing about houseparty.com is that you can still use the site to get great party ideas.. and you can download the party favors.. so.. you can still have an island themed party. I have done that in the past when I wasn't selected, and my parties turned out just fine, so go ahead!! Throw a Margaritaville Cargo party even though you weren't selected. I viewed your photos.. very nice pic's.. and remember.. you can still use the houseparty.com site for your party!!
What a great party - the best one yet! I can't wait to get my concoction maker! I have been drooling over them everytime we go to linens and things, and now, not only do I get one, but I get to have a party and use it and keep it!!!!!! WOOT! Does it get any better?! Yes - beach parties are my favorite!!!!!!! THANKS FOR OFFERING SUCH AN AWESOME PARTY (and picking me for a host :))
This is the best way to kick off the summer fun,I am so excited and I think it is sooo generous of them to be giving us a key west machine to use and keep,it will most certainly be getting a workout,lol,already gathering stuff for the party.Thank you Margaritaville
Anyone have a copycat recipe for Orange cream slush from Sonic (Virgin).Any idea where to look for the recipe.I promised the kids they could have a party over the weekend too.This is what they ask for.
I was most looking forward to having this party, I had already got some decorations, then they E-mailed me telling me I wasnt picked, so I was looking at the map to see who got the party and no one in Idaho got this party, and I started reading all the blogs people have posted and most of them either have a new patio and out door bar or a pool, and could afford to throw a party with out house partys help. I on the other hand dont have a pool or a lot of money, I never get to go out being a stay at home mom of three and it seems they picked a bunch of rich people that throw huge partys any way and could afford to go out and buy all the stuff you are sending them. I am so embaressed to have even tryed to be a part of this party obviously all that margaritaville cares about is lots of money if you have it they want it. They dont want people throwing partys for them that cant afford a 300 dollar concoction maker or they just dont like people in Idaho as I had said no partys in Idaho . You couldnt take one away from chicago , or Texas or California (Where I am actually from) so that there would be at least one so if I wasnt having it maybe I could look there party up and attend it. I am so disapointed in the way house party and margaritaville choose there party hosts. It wasnt a very fair decission, I think they picked people that have alot of money, If you dont have a lot of money I am sure there are reasons you got picked. Thanks for BUMBING me out royally.
