We're ready with the leis, headbands, parrot fans, multicolored margarita glasses. We found some virgin strawberry daquiri mix for the kids! Also, for the non tequilla drinkers in the group I am making frozen raspberry vodka lemonade with fresh raspberries for garnish. Have you seen the Tyson Tequilla Lime chicken wings in the freezer section? We are getting TONS of those for the party and making some citrus lime coleslaw, too. Many more munchies of course - those are just the highlights!
I am so excited it is almost here,I have the goody bags made and the decorations and most of the food and liquor are bought and waiting,will start making some food items as early as tomorrow,I cannot wait,we are praying for good weather,I will cry if it rains but we will still party,lol.Cameras will be charged and ready to go.We have practiced with the machine and I think we have most of the drink recipes we are going to use,whoo hoo this is going to be the best party of the year.
I got nice margarita glasses at both k-mart and the dollar tree. I got bright colored plastic cups, for later in the night!!! I got grass skirts and sharkhead or parrothead hats for all the kids, and coconut cups with lids, to contain spills, and to make sure no little fingers get the wrong drink! I got a popcorn machine and old fashioned bags, also the sno cone cups with all the flavors. We are putting up the tiki torches. I have decided to have my party catered, because I really do want to be able to kick back and relax!!! One more trip to the liquer store and I'll be good to go!! I've waited so long....and it is finally almost here!! woohoo!!!
I'm having a lot of fun planning this Margaritaville party too!! I made party favor bags using the Margaritaville Cargo logo from the houseparty favor page. I included in the bags a little miniature bottle of margaria, a margarita glass, and the $50 off Margaritavillecargo.com brochure which I tucked into a bottle as they suggested. The favor bags came out really nice when done up with tissue paper and lei! Can't wait for the party!
oh.. and I have used the Margaritaville Frozen Concotion Maker plenty of times.. strictly to practice of course lol : )
I made homemade snowcone cups using paper printed with the Margaritaville Cargo logo from houseparty.com site. They turned out really cute. I am having so much fun planning this tropical Margaritaville Cargo houseparty!!! I will take plenty of video and pictures too!!
lets hope the weather is great and not raining! Will have to set a raindate with my guests too many are coming to do the whole thing inside but if worse comes to worse we can change the basement into a tropical island. How hard can it be to vacume up a ton of playsand?

We hired a landscaping company to add more patio space & they're also going to add upgrades to our existing patio space...The guys started working this morning & looks like there's so much work to be done!!! They promised to be finished before the weekend...they'd better be! LOL
I finished my shopping for decorations and drinks, now I am charging my cameras and just need to go shopping on Friday for the food we'll be serving. Just 5 more days!!!
