When the TNT Raising the Bar Houseparty opened for signups I jumped on it. My husband and I are huge Steven Bochco fans! We used to make a weekly tradition in college out of watching LA Law and NYPD Blue!
About a week after I was accepted I found out that I was chosen to have Mark-Paul Gosselaar come to my party at my house!
Since we moved the party to a Wednesday night, we had to tell our guests something special was happening to get them to come, so we told them that someone from the show was coming but not who. Our 25 guests watched the DVD on two floors and everyone really loved the show. We had a TNT representative and a photographer at the house waiting for Mark-Paul with us. We sent all of our guests to the basement and told them the special guest would be arriving in half an hour and the photographer would come down in about 10 minutes to set up shots. Mark-Paul arrived right on time and came in as if we’d known him our whole lives. He greeted us and spent about 15 minutes just chatting with us and checking out our family pictures, and taking some pictures. He was so unbelievable gracious with us and kept thanking us for letting him come to our home. We of course were thanking him for doing something so amazing and unique!
We went down to the basement and my husband was thanking everyone for coming and about to tell them who the guest was when Mark-Paul peeked around the wall and yelled out “Who needs a lawyer?”
Mark-Paul moved to the middle of the room and started to tell us about the history of the show and how he got involved with it. He then answered questions about the show, his career, and pretty much everything that was thrown out.
After answering questions, Mark-Paul signed a stack of TNT coasters that we were sent and we took a group picture. He took pictures with each of our guests as well and then it was time to leave.

This is going to be a great party! We have a lot of people coming to the party to watch the show and are going to show it on two TV's at the same time!
I can't wait to watch this show - I keep seeing the promos and the billboards all over Philly and it looks like it's going to be a great show.
