The movie we picked came in good, unlike some of the other hosts here. We will definitely be keeping the Xbox live, but probably not the Netflix after our trial. I was excited about Netflix thing until I realized there isn't any really new movies on there. Disappointed about that. All in all, we had a fun party and are enjoying the Xbox live, and LOVE the Scene It game!

Love the game Scene It!!! My mom who doesn't play video games even loved it!!! Super easy and fast to download Netflix movies instantly and the quality is GREAT. Thanks Xbox and Netflix for helping to host an amazing house party w/ all the goodies.

I guess we were one of the lucky ones that had absolutely no problem with the picture quality. Our party was a hit and everyone enjoyed playing Scene It! I have to admit that was probably the highlight of the party.

I too had issues with Netflix, especially with the quality of the picture. And to add a sour note to that, Netflix even CHARGED my credit card for my "free trial"! So you all might want to check YOUR credit card statements as well. I had switched from Netflix to Blockbuster a while back and now I am confident i made the right choice. On a positive note, my guests all had a blast with the Scene it Game (even though the writing was EXTREMELY hard for us old blind folks to read). But we still had fun and my son used the 1600 point card to download a game to his XBOX and so we all got to play that too!!!

We had to postpone our party unexpectedly. My one year old woke up with an eye infection (the white of his eye turned blood red!), ear infection and sinus infection. So I spent the day in urgent care with him. We will be partying on Thursday!

I was finally able to beat my husband in an Xbox game, I love Scene it! We had tons of food, and I think that everyone had a great time playing games. The xbox is so much more than just for games. Thank you so much!

We had a blast! We had popcorn, Taco Soup, Homemade Granola and Brownies!

We played Scene It for a while and then we got the "Disc Unreadable" message that we constantly get. This is our 6th Xbox. The guys also played Gears of War II. It was a great time.

Thank you to Xbox, NetFlix and House Party for everything. So happy to be a part of it!

Both my digital camera's are in the shop so I have no pictures! :(

Well, on the 19th we picked a few movies and had them send us Kun Fu Panda and 10000BC (all of which we hadn't seen) and had a few people call and say they couldn't make it after all since they'd be travelling for the holidays (argh!!!). For the people that did show up; it was great. We watched movies, ate gumbo and snacked on popcorn...the adults had a few margaritas and just conversed. It was truly a fun and eventful evening!!!!

Thank you HouseParty, Netflix and Microsoft for the wonderful gifts, trials and chances at having these type of parties...I hope I get the chance soon to do another!!!

We had problems with picture quality for one movie so we chose another movie. We were unable to watch the next movie bc the screen said that Netflix was currently unavailable and gave us a number to call. That wasn't cool. We did play Scene It, ate, and had fun talking. Another X Box party I went to had a picture that was very unclear.

We had a wonderful time! We played Rock Band 2 and Scene It! and loved every minute of it. We ate subs and snacks. The Netflix download was awesome! We downloaded Zelda and The Pink Panther for my son and my husband LOVES the amount of anime available. I like how we don't have to waste our "rentals" on old stuff, so the ones that come in the mail are always new releases! PS~ Use the xbox to download kid's stuff & TV shows. It's worth it!

We were able to show our friends the quality of the netflix video and how easy it was to get it setup. Netflix should have some new customers. The scene it game is great! Lots of fun! Thanks for all the great gifts. Will continue to get alot of use of them.

I agree...I wish there were more movies to choose from...I'd expect that there will be soon. HOWEVER.. what fun! We played Scene It, and then watched Wild Hogs....Our kids watched Underdog this morning and were amazed that they didn't have to put a dvd in the xbox....very cool....
It doesn't get much more convenient than that...everyone agreed...we will definitely subscribe to Netflix and use it through the XBox....

Like some of you have said, there really wasnt any new movies to watch on Netflicks, so we ended up playing some random games on Xbox and then we had a blast playing Rock Band! We had ribs and pizza and lots of beer! It was a really fun night! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of this party!

We had a great time! It was a perfect night for it too, frigid cold! We lit up the fireplace, grilled out some chicken, played Scene it for quite awhile and then watched a movie! It went on until the early morning hours, so it must have been a hit!

We had a awesome day thanks to House party, Microsoft and Netflix. We partied all day and night! We had family and friends over and played Scene It, it was a lot of fun. We did hambugers and hotdogs on the grill, chips, drinks, popcorn lots of food! Then for the evening my son invited his friends and totally enjoyed the live membership, playing halo 3 as a team with other teams around the U.S and chatting with them. Great feature. They also had a blast playing Scene it. Several kids now WANT A X BOX FOR X-MAS and the game SCENE IT!!!! Thank you House Party!!!!

I never received Scene It either. I had promised everyone we would be playing it. That was a little disappointing. But we watched a movie on Netflix and then played Guitar Hero. It was pretty fun, just not what I had promised them.

What a GREAT party! We had a ball with SCENE IT! We had alot of cocktails and pizza. Did I mention cocktails? ALOT of cocktails! The only thing I didn't like about Scene It was the words were a little small, hard to read! But all in all we had a GREAT time. Not feeling too well this morning though!!

We had a nice turnout, and we all had a great time, thanks to great friends, family, munchies, and the game I supplied! Unfortunately, I never received the surprise Scene it game, so we played Rock Band which I had already. I also had problems with the quality of the picture streamed from Netflix, so I had to pop a DVD in. I made the most of it and still had a wonderful time with friends and family.

The party was great! While Netflix and Xbox make a great team, Gears of War 2 was the life of the party LOL! But we used to have Netflix and honestly never planned on going back, but we signed up for it again for the party and now we have decided to keep it. It's awesome being able to watch movies (and for me TV episodes such as CSI and Law & Order) instantly. Blockbuster doesn't stand a chance against Netflix now! When we got up this morning we watched Team America, what a hilarious (adult) movie! Thank you Microsoft , House Party and Netflix for the great time and freebies. We love Scene It, though I usually lose since I haven't seen that many movies LOL. But now with Netflix I can catch up on that too!

We had a great time at our party! We played Scene It! and watched Santa Clause 3 streamed through Xbox. We have been loyal Netflix members for over 3 years and have always been extremely happy with the selection. You can't beat their selection and viewing instantly is really an added bonus (not the crux of the membership) since it is free (we do 3-at-a-time).

But for the Xbox/Netflix partnership to be worthwhile to users, perhaps the selection should at least be equivalent to the 'watch instantly' choices for PC. Some of our watch instantly queue was unavailable on Xbox. We will likely not use the Xbox to view movies once our 3 month trial runs out, but we are VERY happy with Netflix.

That said, we did not have any of the connection/quality problems that others seem to have had. Our picture was crystal clear and there were no issues with the streaming at all.

We had pizza, popcorn, cheesecake, cheeseball and crackers.We had a great time playing scene it.We watched get smart that we had ordered in advance though the mail because the movies were to blurry to watch.but other than that every thing went great. Thank you Houseparty for letting use host this party!
