We had to postpone our party so we just held it today. It was a blast! We had such a great time socializing that we didn't even get to the games or karaoke. I think I might have another party just for the karaoke! People were so excited about it and we didn't even get around to it!

We had a blast! The magnets were hilarious and I didn't want to give the luggage tags away! Just wondering about the sweepstakes though. Looks like Carnival has posted a winner on John Healds Blog. Is there another winner on this site?

I loved the party! All of my guests had a blast! We did karaoke, played towel animal theater, the spinner game, and ate a ton of food! Oh, and had a 'few' drinks! I think we found some future cruise buddies! Woo Hoo! Thanks Carnival and Houseparty! Check out my photos, couldn't figure out how to upload the videos...I need to find someone smarter than my video camera! Hahaha!

We had a blast. The theme was Mardi Gras. We even had a oversized boxing ring for entertainment. The pics say it all...lol. The food was international. Dishes from different countries, including South America, Southern, Italian and Mexico. That day was so much fun!

We had the best time at our Carnival Fun Day. (I just wish I had remembered the dang pinata I had tucked in the closet!!!)

The only thing missing is seeing a green dot in the middle of Maine on this map! Where is it??? I know that there were at least three parties in this state.

Our Carnival Fun Day was a huge hit - especially because it was snowing outside when the guests started arriving - what better way to enjoy the party!! We took Embarkation photos with a beach backdrop, had a blast playing the towel animal game and loved all the great goodies for the guests! The party kit was good, although it would have been great to have received a Steel Drum music CD (not that easy to find in a store) and maybe the general Carnival Informational DVD. I created my own DVD with beach pictures and pictures of our cruise - that ended up being a huge hit. I would have loved to have received somesort of trivia game to play - with questions and multiple choice answers in the party kit. The flipflop straws were a huge hit!! Thanks Carnival and Houseparty.com!! Enjoyed being a host and would definitely do it again!!

Everyone had a BLAST! The warm chocolate melting cake was incredible...just like on the ship.
We had all our cruise memorabilia out and everyone loved sharing cruising memories.
The kids did karaoke in their own Camp Carnival.
We served caribbean jerk chicken and shrimp skewers and made fruity frozen drinks in the blender.
Including kids we had 15 people. They all want to do it again next week!!
Thanks for a great time Carnival and Houseparty!!!!!

The games were a lot of fun, especially making towel animals. We also had a fruit carving contest to see who could make the best piece of "art" out of a piece of fruit. The karaoke DVD was pretty disappointing - only two songs did not give much to choose from (plus they were abruptly cut short instead of playing out the whole song). I had Caribbean music playing in the background, instead. I prepared a couple different Carnival drinks and snacks - they were a hit. I got out my picture albums from my two previous cruises and showed everyone how much fun a Carnival cruise can be. It would have been really nice if the party kit had included some kind of incentive for guests to use on their next cruise - maybe like a coupon for $25 shipboard credit, or something. Anyway, it was fun. Thanks!

We had a great time at our party. Everyone enjoyed the towel animal contest, even though our animals did not quite look like the instructions. But it was fun attempting it! The Chocolate Melting cake was definitely a big hit of the party. Thank you, Carnival, for providing the cups, napkins, balloons, gifts for the guests, etc. The guests really enjoyed their goodie bags. This was a wonderful idea to introduce cruising to those who have never cruised before.

We had a blast. Took embarkation photos and the spinner was a hit, especially the sections with posing the guests and the stare-off contests. The towel folding contest was a riot and ended up with everyone throwing the towels at me in frustration. Everyone enjoyed the decorations, drink of the day and food! Only thing I was thoroughly disappointed in was the karaoke DVD. Only two songs? Didn't even use it. Just played beach type music and we sang along (between the drinking and eating!) Will be posting pictures soon.

Our "Sundae Fun Day" was awesome! We had 12 guests, and we used the Carnival cups to make crazy-good ice cream sundaes. Everyone played games, and there was fierce competition for the prize medals. The hit of the party was the towel-making competition. Several of my guests have never been on a cruise, and more than a few of them thanked me for introducing them to a taste of the fun that takes place on a Carnival cruise. Now, we're counting the days to April 23, 2010, for our 15th wedding anniversary cruise w/Carnival from Hawaii to Vancouver!

Had a great time! Wish we had more songs to sing. The weather was GREAT!! Learned not to leave the spinner in the sun ~ now it's wavy. The cups were very handy and my guests loved the trinkets. Kids loved the tatooes~so did some of the adults. We did not have too much luck with the towels....more pratice needed....Planning a group cruise in late June. Mexico anyone?????

The Melting Cake was quite a hit....it turned out just as yummy as the ones we had last month on the Carnival Fantasy!

The party was loads of fun. We tied and Easter theme into it and hid the prizes (or coupons for the prizes) in Easter Eggs! We even let the kids who came dye some eggs.

THANK YOU CARNIVAL AND HOUSEPARTY!

P.S. This was my first houseparty. I love the whole idea of the website. The goodies offset my party costs and will allow me to host more parties this year!

My party was a washout, I invited around 30 people and only 6 showed up. I heard excuses from it is cold and raining, I forgot that it was today, to I did too much last weekend and don't think I'm able to go anywhere this weekend. Oh well we had a good time, I decorated my enclosed patio to make it look like we were at the beach, my granddaughter called it her cruise party. I'm now ready for my cruise in May. I posted pictures of what my patio looked like. I had fun anyway, just the look on my granddaughter face was enough for me. I just need new friends now. (HaHa). Glad everyone had a great time with their Carnival Fun Day, hope to be able to do this again someday. Thanks Carnival.
