Last minute party reminders.

Take a moment now to organize your party plans, so you’ll be sure to enjoy your Clairol Color Connection House Party™.

  • Finalize your menu.
  • Don’t forget to have plenty of towels, get out the blowdryer, and clear the sink area for the party.
  • Charge your camera batteries so you’re prepared to take lots of party pictures/videos and upload them to www.totalbeauty.com/clairol.  
  • Be sure you and your guests have done the skin allergy test and submitted the release form found on http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=DM9pBj2aVeKwnbTSXX1fKA_3d_3d.
  • Fill the beauty gifts into the bags provided when the guests arrive.
  • Decorate, decorate, decorate. 
  • Ask your guests to lend a hand.

I made sure my guests were aware of the disclaimer form so as to make sure they did the skin allergy test prior to the party. We had no reactions before, during or after the party so I filled out the one form, because as the host, I take it I am responsible for making sure this gets done and that my guests have met the requirements. We had such a blast. My friends all loved their hair. They were able to pick out great colors because of the fabulous color guide that came with the kit. Bekah's before and after pics are the most dramatic (she had never colored her hair ever before) and she went DARK...Amazing! Looked Awesome. Hope you all had a great time because we did. My friends all want to know if I'm going to host another Clairol color party in the future (hehehehe), one time dealio yo...hey maybe Clairol can oblige my friends’ requests and make this an ongoing thing! I guess you can only do one "allergy test" per IP address too, I have guest with NO computer skills or computers - what do I do??? I was going to fill each one out for them but now I can't

It's party day. Just got back from getting some last minute things. Can't wait. I made the gift bags and have all the hair stuff out. We are having chicken alfredo, veggie tray, cheese, cracker and grapes. Also punch and orange dreamsicle pie. This is going to be so much fun.

Day of the party and I'm still pissed about not being eligible for the prizes but I've already planned this thing so I have to keep it going. Made cupcakes, ordering 3 pies of pizza, making about 100 wings, sodas and ice tea, music and movies. The cameras are all set, I have 5 digital cameras ready to take pictures and video... I'm not as excited as before but like I said it's all already been planned can't back out now, so I'm going to make the best of it. Can't tell my party guest that we are not qualified for the prizes or else they'll leave and be as pissed as I. I'm sorry to sound so ungrateful but all of you in the areas that are not eligible know you feel the same way, you know that this was your biggest motivation towards having this party.

Well, 2pm est time today is when my party is. We are having cupcakes, stuffed celery sticks, cookies, finger sandwiches, chips, pretzels and dip, tropical smoothies, soda, pina coladas, iced tea and whatever booze the guests bring. Having my party outside and rinsing under the hose. Printed the Clairol logo sheets and made cupcake picks out of the letters and logo. Got cheap dollar store plastic table clothes to put on the chairs, tables and around guests for coloring. Using shower caps for while the hair is coloring. Guests are also bringing old towels and wearing old clothes. Does suck that Florida is not eligible for the contest. That's where we live. Darn. My guests were really looking forward to getting all dolled up. Even a girl that never dressed up or anything.

I'm ticked because I was getting so excited about my party and I just went on totalbeauty.com/clairol and come to find out I'm not eligible for the grand prize or the runner up prizes. It lists a bunch of states that are not eligible: Alaska, Connecticut, Florida and a bunch of other states. This freaking sucks because my guests and I have decided to go dramatic so that we could have a real shot at going to LA and now come to find out Florida is not eligible for any of the prizes, that's not fair!!!

I am a little disappointed, My friends & I got to gether tonight to all buy our hair color and we went back to my daughter in laws house, and we did the hair test we then went online to fill out the required form, And it will only allow one person per IP address to fill out the form, some of my guests are not computer literate and this is a pain, now for them to enter the contest and all, i HAVE TO MAKE SPECIAL TRIPS TO THEIR HOUSES TO SHOW THEM WHAT TO DO, i EXPECTED THAT WE COULD ALL DO THIS TOGETHER SINCE WE WERE HAVING A PRELIMINARY GET TOGETHER. i AM NOT A HAPPY CAMPER, BESIDES THAT NOW HOW AM i SUPPOSED TO REGISTER MY ADULT DAUGHTER WHO LIVES WITH ME AND WE SHARE COMPUTERS. tHIS WAS DISHEARTENING!!!!! bUT WE DID HAVE FUN WITH THE HAIR TESTS, IT JUST SUCKS THAT IF i DO NOT GET TO THERE HOUSES asap THEY CAN NOT ENTER THE CONTESTS. bummeR

We are going to play apples to apples for prizes. I am excited and wish it was Sunday! (Going to be gone all day Saturday for Track and Field!) I rented a hall out for my party since the water at my house is broken at the moment (dang timing!), but it will be a blast! I gave a list of things my friends should or would like to bring.

As you all said, this party will be a blast! I have wine and iced tea for my guests, as well as a variety of munchies. I've asked everyone to bring an old towel and will put down a painter's drop cloth, so that my carpet does not get ruined. In order to be the perfect hostess, I'll take my before picture in the morning, then color my hair before the guests arrive. Then I can give them all my undivided attention! The winner at my party of the best make over will get some hand-made jewelry (my hobby). I can't wait to enter the contest!

OK.. I hate to say I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't get things.. I didn't get the razor, color sealer etc..
But I did get toothpaste, dental floss, mouthwash.. a maxi pad.
At least we'll all smell good!!

I just messed up... I went to fill in the skin allergy test release form and did my mom's info for her & now I can't do mine! Thought I was to do all of them from my computer!!! Other than that, excited to get my hair colored finally! My grey has been showing for a few weeks now! ;) Weather is looking good finally! I'm grilling. Not going to have a large turnout like I had hoped as we have college graduation in town that day. Our "city" is small enough where most of the people I invited are either graduating, related to a graduate or going to a graduation party! Bummer on the timing... Just having family instead. Will still be a really great time though! Can't wait to see everyone's pics!

My party is in 17 hours I am so excited. Some of us girls have dramatic hair change with the style and color. Cant wait to enter the contest...... We are having pizza party, I had a clairol cake made, this is going to be the best party yet. Have fun girls!!

I can't wait. I made up word search puzzles using Clairol brands and colors, as well as a game to see how many words you can make with the word Clairol. I ordered a bunch of tacos and burritos, guacamole, salsa and chips. Guests are also bringing some things. Of course we are having adult drinks. Oh and I had an edible image made to put on a cake. Hope everyone enjoys.

This is going to be GREAT! I am having somewhere between 10 to 15 here and am going to be cooking and fixing snacks all day Saturday before my party!

Whoever goes the most "dramatic" in hair color change will win the grand prize which will be a bag with one of each of the items in the party package in it! I am searching the internet for other fun party games and will award prizes accordingly!

WOOHOO!!!!! We are going to have soooooooo much fun!!!!
