I'm very excited and can't wait for my party! I am going to have live music (my son has a professional jazz band) so I can have my "entertainment" portion of the "cruise"!

I must say that this is my 1st House Party ever, and I am not impressed. I will continue to have my party because I have invited soooo many guest.
I also, believe that it is not House Party's fault that this whole thing has been messed up from the start.
I feel also as if we are out to sell the cruises and Cruise Planners gets some very cheap advertisement. A single tv ad for 2 minutes would cost a great deal of money but instead they decide to go through House Party let the host do all the work inviting, planning, buying the food, fixing the food and advertising for them and they give us hardly anything to work with. I personally am not impressed at all. This is not Royal Carribean Style. I went to Big Lots and bought nicer leis for my guest and they were 2.40 for a pack of 3 nice flower leis. I understand that Cruise Planners had 1001 host but so many have canceled their party because of the way it was going. I can't believe Cruise Planners would stoop so low as to have the host that are doing all the work anyway, have to go out and personally purchase alot of extra needed items for this party to be great. I only hold great parties and with the items that were sent to me the party would be really shabby. There has been no Cruise Planner call me or even email me, which I am glad because they really don't want to talk to me. I have a party once a month at my house now and have been doing so for about 2 years. We all get together and have fun whether it is playing ball, watching a race, in the pool, playing horseshoes or just chillin. I wanted to try out House Party and maybe add something different to the parties, which it is a good thing what House Party is doing, but to receive the items that I have received is pathetic. I can go to the Dollar store or Big Lots and buy my 10.00 worth of stuff that they sent and not have to worry about trying to get the registration form, pictures uploaded or anything else done for Cruise Planners. I am really not impressed House Party and I hope you guys are reading these blogs and the other host never have to go though this again. I will continue with my party and my party will be a blast, but as for referring my guest to Cruise Planners, I will be also passing on the email address for vacations to go or cruisecomplete. Hope everyone has a great party and sorry just had to get this off my chest.

All I can say is that I was very excited about hosting the party but when I got the packs I was so disappointed in them. It's hard for me to want to get everyone together for a Royal Carribean party, when I feel like I have nothing to explore and excite my guests with. I just can't believe the let down. A lot of my guests did not RSVP on here, but I have lots of people coming and am just so disappointed in the package and overwhelmed with the lack of items that I just want to cancel the show. Royal Carribean is a great company to cruise with and I was expecting a lot more.

I received pack #2 and was so disappointed in it. This is what I sent to CruisePlanners;

Joe,
Thank you for your prompt response, I received it today at 1:30 p.m.

All I have to say is wow! Just wow!
ONE bag, ONE hat, less that $0.10 in plastic leis and 15 straws???
A few brochures...
Cheeziest part pack. EVER.
Have you people NEVER seen how HouseParty does parties?

Seriously, this is really a disappointment. I hope that it wasn't you personally who chose this dismal bunch of cheap garbage, as I have no wish to insult you at all. My guests will NEVER know my disappointment as I am going to Target right now to get stuff to supplement this pathetic party pack.

My party will be excellent - because that is the way that I do parties - and my pictures will be GREAT...

But make no mistake - the buzz from HouseParty is carried out to others from the guests - who basically come to learn about new opportunities and products but MOSTLY to get the free swag!

Have a wonderful day.

Hello All!

Ok, I'm going to say something a few of you might be afraid to say... So this is my eighth Houseparty that I have hosted and I must say it is an utterly embarrassment. First we all receive a bag of garbage...Some napkins, bent signs, paper apron, etc... Then we are told that a 2nd better package is on it's way.... What happens though? Time goes on and we don't get any communication on when the 2nd package is coming... We are told that certain items are going to be in there but as time goes on the 2nd packages start to arrive. Well, I received mine today... And I must say, some brochures for a cruise, some window clings, a dollars worth of cheap leighs, a bag of straws with 3 loose ones, a RC poster, a hat ( I like), a cheap clock that doesn't work, calculater and whatever else is listed.

Bottom line is this is the WORST HP that I have ever seen. Don't know who to blame, but am leaning towards the travel agency. I canceled my party do to the embarrassing predictiment that HP left me in.

On a brighter side...If you have been following RC for the past two days, you would have seen that they have had a sale to the Bahamas...So I booked one this evening for Superior Ocean View room for a very good price through RC. Also, I recommend that if you go on a RC cruise, GOTO the Quest game show that is on your cruise...It's 18+ but hillarious!!!!

If you want to save money on a cruise, go to cruisecompete.com Here Travel agents compete for your business. Also, visit slickdeals.net for awesome internet deals
