Object of the game: Stake your claim. or get trapped.
Play: The host decides where the treasure is hidden beforehand chosing an intersections, ie C3 or F9. Also decide on a few other places designated as "traps" and make a note of these intersections as well. Mount the map on a board, foam being best, however; poster board or cardboard will work, then place the map in view.
As your guests arrive, invite them to stake their claim to the" treasure" on the exotic island by sticking their flag on any intersection of lines.
As the evening progresses, announce the winner which is the flag closest to the treasure spot and give a small prize.
The guests that stuck their flag on a trap must pay a forfeit.
This game is sure to get guests mingling and laughing when the results are announced and before the game also.
