Lentil Soup (Daal)

Ingredients:
1 cup lentils
3 cups water
2 tbsp chopped ginger
1 green chilli
1/2 tsp 5 spice
1tsp sugar
1tsp salt
Directions:
Boil lentils for 15 minutes until soft, then puree with ginger and chilli. Add sugar and salt and cover for 3 minutes. Then add 5 spice. Add cinnamon to taste. Great with Chilli sauce (asian chilli sauce that is), and on rice!
