Natural beauty is more than skin deep: it's a life well lived that makes your beauty whole

Last year, Rebecca Maupin nominated her local garden — part of the Flanders Nature Center & Land Trust in Woodbury, CT — for the AVEENO® Seeds of Natural Beauty Contest in the hopes of winning the ultimate garden makeover for this valuable community center.

Rebecca explained that the nature center offers a broad range of recreational and educational programs for her community, but unfortunately, has limited resources to do so. And since it lacked essential elements like easy access to watering sources and a place for people to sit and relax, its garden needed a healthy infusion of care and maintenance. Rebecca hoped the makeover would not only draw more people to the land trust, but also encourage visitors to join some of the various outreach programs the center runs, like growing crops for the local food bank.

AVEENO® is proud to honor Rebecca Maupin with the 2007 Seeds of Natural Beauty ultimate garden makeover. Her community garden received $5,000 in gardening supplies and a session with a landscape artist.
