Description:

What is a party without some icebreakers and games that make everyone laugh?  We are going to go simple and break out the twister game,whisper a "code word" to each guest when they arrive (words like "hot") and whoever can get everyone else to say their word the most wins a prize,  truth or dare, take a post-it and press the name of a famous person (dead or alive)  to each guest's back as they enter, everyone gathers round and tries to guess who they are in history by asking questions,  the card table will be going, fill a few balloons with some crazy antics and pop them in a fun way with the recipient performing whatever is on the slip of paper in the balloon, then there's the food fight (joking) ; the party games provided by Houseparty and we asked the guests to wear an ugly sweater to the party. Their most hideous winter woolen-wear. It might be a gift they received from a well-meaning relative during the holidays.  Whoever makes it to the top of the worst dressed list, wins a prize.  We suggest a t-shirt or spare shirt, (those sweaters could get hot during the dancing) This should make for interesting pictures!

One game I have not tried is "talk fest" where

  
Players: 4-30

Equipment:Watch with a second hand or a stop watch

Preparation:None Divide the group in half and line them up in two rows. Those in one row stand back to back with those in theother row. The players standing back to back become partners.
At a signal, the players turn around quickly and face their partners. They must talk to each other without stopping. They must both talk at the same time - about anything at all - and it doesn't have to make sense! All players must keep this up for 30 seconds.
Sometimes this game is played with only two players talking at a time. They stand in the middle of the room talking fast and furiously while the others watch and laugh. A contest can be set up, and those receiving the most applause are the winners.

My fondue pot is calling to me, since it is a potato/salad bar, why not?
