While I can't let the medication OR the FFS throught the American Lung Assoc. take all of the credit, I can tell you that the combination of the Chantix and the support from my Freedom from Smoking coach and buddies, helped me to FINALLY rid myself of the this 35-year killer habit!  The Chantix helped me get past the physical addiction so I could concentrate on the endless "triggers" developed over 35 years.  The Freedom from Smoking program helped me prepare for a quit day and develop a strategy to succeed.  The members of my class were overwhelmingly supporting to each other and I credit them with my continued success!  While quitting won't be a walk thru the tulips, it will help you get your sense of smell back to enjoy the tulips and increase the chances you will be around for many more years to enjoy life to the fullest with your family and friends!  I'm finallly FREE and I feel the best physically than I have in years.  And mentally, because I AM strong enough to beat the cigarettes.
