Shirley Temple's Granddaughter

posted by thesneakychef

Ingredients:

HEALTHY NOTE: The traditional Shirley Temple is a syrupy sweet drink with ginger ale, grenadine, and maraschino cherries. It’s normally loaded with sugar and red dye. This updated version is just as delicious and fun, but with half the sugar and added nutrients from the homemade cherry juice.

2 parts Cherry Juice (see Make-Ahead Cherry Juice recipe)
1 part Ginger Ale
1 part Sparkling Water
Garnish: fresh or frozen cherries

Directions:

Mix Cherry Juice with ginger ale and sparkling water. Serve over ice with a cherry and a green straw.
