Got the DVD over the weekend. My son took it right away. He's a big fan. Said the Closer episode was great! Can't wait to share with my friends. Thanks for the great party ideas! Off to e-mail my guests!

I heard some "My hubby likes that show too!" so I have changed the theme just a tad but hey...the show is what's important huh? Doing a word scramble of famous detectives "FEMALE ONES" Told everyone to be a mystery and surprise us with what snacks you are bringing! This should be fun, I'm looking forward to seeing everyone and doing this party!
I plan on printing logos from the party favors page to decorate with and will do that before the party. I have the wine purchased already so just have to open some bottles and set out the spectacular cheese and fruit platter. My guests are bringing hot appetizers and lots of chocolate sweets to share. I am finishing preparing the wine totes and used ribbon to attach the wine charms and opener and chocolate bars. got my dvd in the mail, woo hoo, gonna be a great party for the ladies! thanks hp and tnt. cant wait to watch the shows.

I got the DVD today!! I can't wait to watch it with the girls!! The kids have a day camp on Monday so I will prepare while they are gone for our GIRLS PARTY on Tuesday!!
We drove to a small family owned winery in north GA and picked up several bottles of specialty wines. A GA peach, a cherry and a blackberry blueberry. I can't wait!!!
Just got back from vacation... mad rush to get everything ready for party... BTW... took the Margaritaville machine to the beach, everyone loved the drinks and I think orders will be coming in again!!!
No DVD yet, but I am totally excited, I might have to have a private screening for one when it does come!!

Food was a hit. posting this in case a last minute hostess is looking for ideas. I felt like I hadn't done enough but apparently it amazed everyone. I did the marshmallow skewers that Kraft is advertising with their pink marshmallows. They were a huge hit! (put three strawberries and three chocolate topped marshmallows on each long skewer and then into a glass vase of sugar). Bought spinach/artichoke dip from my local deli along and put it along side warmed cheese dip from a jar. Seriously! I never do that! They were happy with it. I popped movie grade microwave popcorn and then put them in individual popcorn bags like you get at the fair (found those at Sam's). And then I laid out boxes of candy you find at the movies. Of course I had wine, soda and beer. I made a large pitcher of Apple Martinis as my one mixed drink. We had tons of fun!!! I felt like I had thrown a hit of a party with much less effort then I normally would put into it. Something I hope to remember next time.
